Nicholas Ferrante, Harbour at Sunset with Ferry (LIGHT/SHADOW - Entries close 30 September 2026)

This photo captures the quiety beauty and functionality of Sydney Harbour with the golden light of sunset balanced against the a ferry crossing the midground, a reminder that this is still very much a working harbour. I stopped the lens down to f/11 or f/16 to render the sun as a clean starburst. I'm happy with how this photo turned out as I only had a moment to focus, choose my apeture, expose manually and compose so as to get the sun behind the Bridge arch before the ferry movement ruined the composition.
