Kathy Brown, Happy Chappy (ANIMAL & NATURE 2022)

I came upon this gorgeous young NZ fur seal on my usual wanderings around Muttonbird Island in my hometown of Coffs Harbour. It is very unusual to see seals in our coastal town so it was quite exciting although there has been the odd one in recent years. This little one appeared very healthy and was having a wonderful time swimming and playing around the rocks allowing me to capture a few shots with my telephoto lens while i hid behind a rock.
