Daniel Kemp, Gunyah Dunes Ripples (AUSTRALIA - Entries close 30 Jan 2027)

Taken at Gunyah on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, this image captures wind-carved ripples stretching across the coastal dunes as the last warm light of the day broke beneath a gathering storm. A weathered branch provides a solitary focal point against the patterned sand. I was drawn to the contrast between the warm evening light and the cool, approaching weather, and to the way wind continually reshapes this exposed Australian coastal landscape.
