I like visiting wetlands over the Spring Summer season. Watching the little chicks grow up and take their first steps into the world is a rewarding experience for a photographer. This image was taken in the Bellingen Shire while visiting earlier this month. The little chick is almost ready to fly the nest but for now mum and dad must make sure it will be strong enough to face the challenges ahead!
