Kelly Coleman, Golden shades of Australia (ANIMAL & NATURE 2023)

This collection of macro acacia flowers show off some of the different stages of acacia flower growth. I love the intricate detail of acacia flowers and their structure with the delicate stamens bursting out in an array of inflorescence. They provide food to many animals - insects, birds and possums. No wonder they are Australia's floral emblem. I have about five different species of acacias growing naturally on my property and all these photos are from those trees. I have used a 100mm macro lens to capture these photos in-situ.
