Sophia Morgan, Frozen in Time (July Theme: Red)

I found this in the early hours of the morning on 24/06/2022 in Seelands, Australia, during sunrise. The spider was completely frozen when I first encountered it. As I was photographing it, it slowly started to defrost, creating this beautiful effect where the spider looks like it's been crystallised. The more I continued watching, and the more it defrosted with the sunrise, the spider seemed to wake up and started to continue on about its day like nothing had happened and it hadn't been completely frozen for the night. I've never in my life seen anything like this. Nature is absolutely incredible!
