Kate Green, Forever close (September theme: What Matters to Me )
Photo of my 21yr old son & 17yrs old daughter walking through the a redwood forest. They are so incredibly close despite the 4 1/2 year age difference as they shared the steps, the memories, the challenges, the tears, the laughter, the fragility of life, the love - a bond formed by knowing that life is infinitely fragile. This photo was quite unexpected as they were heading back to the car talking quietly. As I walked a slight distance behind, it struck me how this photo I just taken of that moment, captures their closeness but at the same time reflects their own respective journeys ahead whilst remaining forever close. The slight blurring of the image was not intentional but adds to the sense of fragility of the their journey past, present and into the future. They humble me and remind me every moment that I am humbly blessed. Photo taken on Nikon CoolPix B500 on 9th July 2019.
