Brighton Seeley, equipoise (February theme: Great Outdoors)

6 shot panorama in portrait mode. The timing lined up perfectly for this shot. We were looking for a place to camp and had been following a long narrow path for some time. We reached a place we were hopping to camp at, but it turned out it was unsuitable. As we were about to leave, an incredible stillness came over the area. The silence could almost be felt. As soon as we left a wind blew and the lakes stillness was destroyed. Had I been there just a few moments later this would never have been seen.
