Julia howe, Elusive (JUNIOR 2020)

To take this photograph I used light painting and long exposure techniques. Using a phone torch to create a small, delicate trail of light through the scene, highlighting the elusive, unknown figure who appears to be walking into the unknown and seemingly foreboding darkened forest. The haziness (as a result of fog) adds to the ambiguity and questioning feel of this visual narrative.
