Stella Scarfo, 'Egg' (Mobile 2021)

Thinking about what to cook for dinner, I remembered an old 70's favourite, the Scotch Egg. I wanted to create a peaceful and moody photo. It made me think of how birds should always be given the chance to lay their eggs in a nest as nature intended and this sparked my idea. The idea not yet fully clear in my mind as yet. Then one day I wanted to go for a drive to the beautiful Mt. Macedon. On my walk and looking at the ground, as I always love to do, I came across some sticks . Looking at their shape and colours, they instantly put an image in my mind of my meal being nestled inside the protection of a nest....and yes, it was a delicious dinner!
