Kathy Brown, Echidna Cuteness (ANIMAL & NATURE 2023)

This beautiful little Echidna (Tachyglossidae) calmly came out of the bush where i happened to be quietly taking photos of birds and just wandered around seemingly without any fear allowing me to see and capture its gorgeous little face! I had never seen one so close up and of course i had the telephoto lens on so had to step back a little. I was just in awe of the cuteness of it and how it just seemed to love soaking up some sun and smelling the air, in between sticking its nose in the sandy dirt looking for ants. Captured in the Bundjalung National Park at Iluka Bay, NSW.
