Gemma Collins, East Coast Low June 2016 (April theme: Seascape)

For about a week the ocean went absolutely mad when a massive low pressure system ran into a high pressure system wreaking havoc all along the East Coast of Australia. The first few days of the low, the wind was desirable making these giants surfable, although no one was keen at this beach shorey. The location where this photo was taken you normally wouldn't be able to see much wave action as there is a steep decline to the shore break, skewing the view. Except for on this day, it was hard for me to believe my eyes. The sound of the waves crashing on the sand was an incredible force, very intimidating and something I will never forget.
