Tully Ritter, Duststorm Girl (Junior 2019)

These are a series of photos (of my sister), showing various emotions from defiant to happy, these photos were taken in summer after mustering. We live in drought and so by the end of mustering we were covered in dirt from head to toe. The photos are intended to show strength and the humanity of those who live on the land and the effect the drought can have on the people who live there, even the young. This is why the many of the photos look dark. But even in the darkest times you can find a reason to smile.
