Vanessa Haines, Door way to heaven (ENTRIES CLOSED - December theme: Your favourite shot of '25)

taken in the Italian Dolomites I was waiting 2 hours to catch a glimpse of the amazing Geisler Peaks in Santa Maddalena, however I was out of luck and only captured this tiny parting in the clouds then nothing else. While I was disappointed and wasn't very hopeful editing, once I started editing and looking deeper into the photo I realised I have something very cool and unique and very different to my normal style of photographing. As soon as I finished editing all I could think about is that this looked like an entrance into heaven, hence the naming of this photograph.
