Brad Fletcher, Domestic Lane (LIGHT/SHADOW - Entries close 30 September 2026)

This is a spur-of-the-moment capture of Domestic Lane in Toowoomba. I was out on a date night trying to find some toilets when we walked down this fantastic laneway. Just lifted the camera and clicked. The photo was taken with a Canon RP using an EF 50mm prime. Shutter speed is 1/15 sec and was hand-held. ISO 1600, f13. Exposure bias is 0, focal distance is infinite, metering mode is pattern. Software edits are very minimal: denoised and sharpened and slight crop to remove distractions at the top and bottom of the image. No colour grading, no adjustments, what you see is what the camera captured. Exported at 50% size to stay under the 5MB file limit.
