Adrian Stavovy, Dirt tracks from above (ENTRIES CLOSED - MINIMALISM)

This aerial drone image was taken along the silo art trail in Wimmera Mallee region in north western Victoria, I've driven the tour a couple of times and love the mostly flat agricultural land, broad horizons blue sky and quiet country towns. Having arrived at my favourite art silo, by street artist 'Adnate', I promptly raised my drone into the air from the carpark and was immediately intrigued by the shape of the power line against the wheel ruts baked into the earth. I was excited to get home and view the images full screen where I toyed with a variety of edits, including b/w, before settling on one which showed fully the painterly abstract texture of the crusty tyre marks framed subtly by the floating silhouette of the power line. Lightroom edits included exposure, white point, tone curve and colour temperature adjustments and masks, contrast to bring out the texture and lifting shadows and dehaze for a slightly more high-key look.
