Debre Berhan Selassie Church is a 17th-century church located in Gondar, Ethiopia. It is one of the best-known and most picturesque churches in Ethiopia, with its extensive decorations which are mainly painted on ceilings and walls. The church features winged cherubs, biblical saints, intricate floral designs, swirling motifs and other symbols. The steeply pitched roof towering above the entrance hallway is painted with alternating stripes of black and white symbolizing both purity and mourning.
