Mandy Creighton, Damselflies in the Tarkine Wilderness (Wildlife and Animal 2019)
On a hot summers day in February we stopped at a small sinkhole along the Tarkine drive in the Tarkine Wilderness in north west Tasmania, wizzing around the water were many stunning bright blue damselflies. Photographing them was tricky with strong sunlight and deep shadows but with patience and by moving around I was able to capture these tiny creatures in flight and stationary in some interesting poses.
