Dominique Pierre-Nina, "Dali", "The Swimmer", "Heads in the Clouds", and "Life Downunder" (People 2021)

Dali: While in town I saw this gentleman walking down George St Sydney City and the first thing that came to mind was Salvador Dali. He was more than happy to oblige me a portrait. The Swimmer: During my morning walk along the Bower in Manly I spotted one of the Bold and the Beautiful swimmers warming his arms up before diving in. The feel of the photograph reminds me of Max Dupain's "The Sunbaker". Heads in the Clouds: This photograph was taken after our first lockdown. We were in the Blue Mountains and came across these young guys gazing at the valley, it gave me a sense of them contemplating their future in these uncertain times. Life Downunder: "Parrot" is a bit of Manly icon, always reading his morning paper in the sun along Fairy Bower. He's a typical relaxed Australian beachgoer.
