Adrian Stavovy, Commonwealth Avenue Bridge (ENTRIES CLOSED - MINIMALISM)

I love shooting around Canberra at night, there’s something evocative in the quietude of our nation’s capital probably due to the fact light pollution is kept to a minimum for the Mt Stomlo Observatory and low density urban design. This image is a 4 or 5 second exposure of the Commonwealth Avenue bridge leading over Lake Burley Griffin from the town center to Parliament house. I’ve tidied up the image, removed some distracting dots of light around the bridge pylons, reduced the brightness of the exposure and highlights and added some contrast to the surface of the water. F 16, 5s exposure, ISO 400, 18mm, Canon EOS 600D
