graham earnshaw, Colours of WA (Aerial 2018)
My passion to show off the beauty of Western Australia is strong and with the advent of drones this is making it so much more exciting. These aerial images are of some of the special places I visited during my 3 week road trip from Perth to the Kimberleys, such an amazing experience. Two of the images are taken in the incredibly beautiful Shark Bay World Heritage region (from a cessna) - the first image is of one of the many many Birridas (gypsum salt lakes) that surround the landscape - this one doing a wonderful impersonation of a blue tadpole; and the second image is of the coastal landscape, where the patterns of the shallow waters give amazing imagery - this one seems to be of a dolphin leaping up over the peninsula. The other two images were taken using the drone, one of a salt lake north of Paynes Find and the other of the stunningly vibrant colours of Roebuck Bay in Broome.
