Rudy Kalele, Christmas Day Supper (ENTRIES CLOSED - December theme: Your favourite shot of '25)

In the golden hour of Christmas Day 2025, I finally was able to snap the image that showed the water birds, once catching the fish, toss them head first down their throat. This is not accidental. Head first is essential, as the other way round, the sharp fins will injure the birds oesophagus. Here we see a White Faced Heron enjoying its Christmas Day Supper.
