Christina Stubbs, Calm Before the Storm (LANDSCAPE 2023)

I saw this amazing Mammatus cloud formation from my house. I quickly grabbed my camera and hurried down to nearby Coolum Beach. Beachgoers were still enjoying the day, apparently oblivious to the impending storm. I spotted some surfboards on the beach and got into position to include them in the foreground. By the time I had my composition, surfers appeared and lay relaxing on their boards. Less than 30 minutes later I was sheltering from a severe storm.
