Hamish Macarthur-Onslow, Brown Falcon in the Golden Hour (September Theme: Birds)
I'm no ornithologist, but according to friends who know more than I, this is likely a Brown Falcon. While the composition isn't perfect, please note that I shot this with my well-traveled Canon 7D and somewhat beaten Canon EF 400mm F5.6L lens from a moving car on a pot hole ridden road. I'm honestly surprised it came out as well as it did. Keeping the shutter speed to upwards of 1/2000th of a second helped.. even with the noise of higher ISO. There's little if any cropping done on this, just resized for web-friendliness, and some noise reduction applied. I hope you enjoy!
