Peta Buckley, Brown Boobies of Christmas Island (ANIMAL & NATURE 2022)

After visiting The Galapagos many years ago, I was eager to visit the similar nature haven closer to home being Christmas Island. And I was fortunate to sneak a trip to the remote tropical island before Western Australian went back down into a Covid lockdown. Being in July, I witnessed Brown booby chicks across the island during my days exploring the peaceful nature and wildlife the island offered. From newly born chicks on a nest, to juvenile chicks starting to lose their baby feathers on the cliff tops. Overall it was all spectacular to witness the species in their natural habitat.
