Sue Elscot, Bring out the Gypsea in me (April theme: Seascape)
This is Roebuck Bay, Western Australia. It has one of the greatest tidal movements in the world, over 10m each six hours on a spring tide. The huge tides rolling in over the mudflats, stirring sediment into the sea, make the sea the most incredible azure colour imaginable. And when it mixes with the red pindan sands along the shoreline, it’s truly breathtaking, as is all of the Kimberley in Western Australia. Like the tide moving in and out, this makes me want to move and explore the beautiful wilderness we are so blessed to be surrounded by. I’ll always be a sea gypsy!
