Ann Parrott, Breath of Winter (ENTRIES CLOSED - SOFT LIGHT)

Captured during an unforgettable road trip through Norway with my son at the end of last year. Norway was turning autumn into winter, the days were short so the light was always soft. The fog rolled quietly across the landscape. What drew me to this scene was its simplicity. The grassy foreground provided a gentle contrast to the ghostly silhouettes of the trees fading into the mist beyond. It felt peaceful, timeless, and wonderfully still. The image required very little editing. I made only minor adjustments to the exposure to better reflect the soft light and atmosphere we experienced that day. For me, this photograph captures the quiet beauty of Norway's changing seasons. Canon EOS R8. Lens: RF24-50mm | f/8 | 1/500 sec | ISO 400 | focal length 24mm
