Daniel McCooke, Birds On Sticks (MINIMALISM - Entries close 31 July 2026)
While out with my camera in Darling Harbour Sydney, I noticed the tall flag poles each at a Seagull sitting on top. It was getting close to blue hour, so the flagpoles contrasted well against the sky. I took this photo with a Nikon Z6iii, paired with a 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. I used a focal length of 75mm, shutter speed 1/200, aperture f/4 and ISO 800. The photo has been edited from RAW - basic adjustments and colour grading in Adobe Lightroom.
