Ron Smith, Birds of Geelong (Wildlife and Animal 2019)
Early this morning 12 AUG 2019 was the first occasion in over a month conditions were good for photography, brilliant sunny morning which allowed me to snap the Black Kite and Australasian Gannet, This particular Gannet has been appearing over the Geelong water front for some time now with this morning no different, I believe it may have taken up residence somewhere along the water, The nearest Gannet Colony would be Mud Island on Port Phillip Bay, I've never seen this bird flying to or from that colony, but I could be wrong.
