Jamie Karpas, Bent Light (LIGHT/SHADOW - Entries close 30 September 2026)
During ANU’s exam period, photography became my way of slowing down. Between study sessions, I found myself drawn to the autumn colours across campus, where the sculpture UNA—known to most students simply as “the Sphere”—became a quiet place to pause. Finding other students resting beneath it reminded me that, even in the busiest moments, we all seek the same refuge. This photograph captures that brief intersection of light, reflection, and shared stillness.
