Julie Pallant, Being in the right place at the right time (December theme: The Moment )

This image of a Plumed Whistling-Duck was all about being in the right place at the right moment. It was taken early one morning in a dark lagoon near my house in Ballina, just as the sun broke through the branches, highlighting the amazing feathers of this duck. The water was dark and still, allowing me to capture the bird’s reflection.
