Amber Brentnall, Backyard bandits (ANIMAL & NATURE 2023)

While most urbanites consider them a pest, I love sulphur-crested cockatoos. These cheeky birds visit our backyard each morning and evening, delighting us with their antics. We rarely leave seed, as we live near a nature reserve and believe they should be feeding on a natural diet. The evening these images were taken, I was surprised they stayed so long as it was starting to get dark - but they seemed to be enjoying my company and my camera.
