Fiona Sexton, Autumn Transition (Creative 2021)
Each Autumn I like to visit the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens to see the autumn leaves changing colours. These gardens are well known for their photos of the boathouse and also the bridges and lakes. When taking a photo of one of the bridges I noticed the green trees on one side of the image and the orange / yellow leaves on the other side. I thought I would try a different type of composition. The bridge became the central point of the image. I tried using intentional camera movement by rotating the camera around a central axis trying to keep the bridge as in focus as possible. I feel this image portrays the transition of seasons as your eye moves from the green tree, across the bridge into the Autumn Colour.
