Zebedee Muller, Australian Spotted Crake Crossing a Waterway (September Theme: Birds)

Crakes can be elusive and difficult to photograph. Normally only heard rather than seen. Lying in mud for a long time eye level is an excellent way to hopefully get photos of a crake. After a while of sinking into rather questionable mud along a small canal I finally got a photo of an Australian Spotted Crake in the open as the bird was about to make a quite dash to the other side of the waterway.
