The Aurora Australis (or Southern Lights) is a natural light show in the southern sky caused by charged particles from the sun colliding with gases in Earth's atmosphere. A long exposure brings out the full colours. The sky in this photo was shot with a 20 second exposure. Near Fitzroy Falls in the Morton National Park, New South Wales.
