Michael Young, Anthocyanin Clouds (May theme: Seasons)
Taken at Togetsu-kyo bridge in Kyoto, Japan on a sharply cold day in early winter, the kind where the wind pierces every pore on your face and your teeth feel frozen. Tremendous colours such as these are produced by anthocyanins as leaves die, but such deep waves of reds are truly unique.
