BRIAN WHITE, ANIMAL & NATURE - Knox Swordgrass Butterfly (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)

There are concentrations of large attractive graceful Swordgrass butterflies in bushland around the Dandenong Ranges foothills in the City of Knox and surrounding municipalities. The butterfly is portrayed in a sculpture in The Basin Reserve children's playground. Plantings of swordgrass and associated native shrubs have been established throughout the municipality to increase the distribution of this much loved butterfly.
