Rhiannon Cochrane, Ancestry (CREATIVE 2023)

55 million years ago a group of marsupials crossed the land bridge onto what is now Australia. Kangaroos share our DNA, they are culturally significant to First Nations people, they are iconic. This ghostly figure in last light felt ethereal and the photo, in its imperfection, reminded me of the connection we have to our country through our native animals.
