Deborah Hilton, An unusual angle as a result of merging two laneways with street art using an Omni Lens. (February theme: Unusual angles)
In 2022, Deborah went on a creative camera lens photography walk with a small Canon Camera. It was organised by this company - https://lensbaby.com/collections/omni who provided and instructed us on the lens to utilise in conjunction with the camera. According to the website; “The OMNI creative filter lenses can be used to naturally add creative effects to photos and videos without the need to retouch or post-edit the finished photos”. This next paragraph is also taken exact from the website and explains the effect in these photos; OMNI EFFECT Create new magic with OMNI! The simple, elegant, and innovative alternative to creating effects through handheld crystals & objects. Add individuality and artistic flair to your work by shooting through crystals and other objects specifically engineered to create professional and compelling in-camera effects. Designed to work with your existing lenses, OMNI offers control and repeatability without having to change your gear. This image was taken at Laneway Art, an Art gallery in the City of Melbourne, Victoria. It is found at Higson Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000, a 4-min walk from the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. Two walls with different artwork are merged together for a visual illusion that is interesting.
