Lachlan Hanrahan, Alpine Blues (June theme: Australian Landscape)
Before the first snow of the season, I did the Main Range/Summit Walk in the Kosciuszko National Park. Along the walk I had the chance to have morning tea next to Blue Lake, one of only four cirque lakes on Mainland Australia. There was no sound except for the water lapping at the shore, and the grasses rustling in the occasional light breeze. It's one of the most unique and ecologically fragile landscapes in Australia, and is also in my opinion the most beautiful. Blue sky, blue lake and not another soul for miles!
