Russ Arnold, After_the_Bushfire (May Theme: The Elegance of Nature)

This recreational area was severely impacted by a bushfire a few months ago. The fire came quite close to where I live, close enough that we evacuated to a friends place for one night. Thankfully the heroic efforts of the firefighters protected the populated areas and the fire was eventually contained. The Australian bush is well adapted to fire so the regrowth will provide some interesting photographic opportunities over the coming months as we head into and through winter. In the meantime this is typical of any vegetation that remains.
