Nilmini De Silva, A Visual Feast (AERIAL 2023)

Aerial photography gives us a different perspective of our earthly home. It is a way of seeing and connecting to Country that is not usually afforded to us grounded beings. We see the meandering journeys taken by watercourses and are blown away by the colours etched in the landscape. Looking down below, we see pattern and meaning as we bring our own interpretations to the creativity of time, wind and rain. All of this combined with the colours, textures, shapes and form create a visual feast for the photographer like no other genre of photography.
