Michael Coombes, A City Sunrise (July theme: Symmetry)

I love the curve of the Brisbane River around Gardens Point. It gives a beautiful definition to photos taken from the opposite side of the river. And this day I went in the hope of a decent sunset. I used an ND10 filter to allow a long enough exposure for some streaks in the clouds. As always, the sky was transformed the instant the sun dipped below the horizon. But even I was surprised at the beauty of this particular sunset.
