Undiscovered Patagonia Photo Tour – October 19–28, 2026
Join World Photo Adventures on an unforgettable journey through the remote wilderness of northern Patagonia, led by renowned photo tour operator Darran Leal.
This small-group expedition is designed for photographers of all levels, combining expert guidance with access to some of the most spectacular and lesser-visited landscapes in Chilean Patagonia.
Many travellers know the famous southern areas of Patagonia, but far fewer have explored the remote northern reaches of Chile’s Aysén region.
Over ten days, the tour explores dramatic Andean mountains, glacier-fed rivers, waterfalls, fjords, and the famous Marble Caves on General Carrera Lake.
Travelling during the change of season provides rich autumn colour, snow-capped peaks, active wildlife, and constantly changing light — perfect conditions for landscape and nature photography.
Highlights include a boat shoot at the Marble Cathedrals, the vivid turquoise rapids of the Baker River, the remote boardwalk village of Caleta Tortel, the open steppes of Chacabuco Valley, and the hanging glaciers and waterfalls of Exploradores Valley.
Participants will have opportunities to photograph condors, guanacos, pristine forests, dramatic skies, and some of the most untouched scenery in South America.
Accommodation, transport, local guides, selected meals, and on-location photographic instruction are included throughout. With a maximum group size of approximately 6–8 participants, the itinerary allows plenty of time in the field and the flexibility needed to make the most of weather, light, and wildlife encounters.
