Operated by Murray River Trails, this four-day small-group journey explores remote reaches of the Murray River within the internationally significant Riverland Ramsar Wetlands.

This is no crowded river cruise, but an immersive eco-tourism experience designed for travellers who value nature, knowledge, and comfort.

Guests encounter vast shimmering outback lakes, ancient river red gum forests and towering red and orange cliffs that glow at sunrise and sunset. Reflections on still water create striking compositions in the calm of early morning, while clear, dry outback air provides exceptional conditions for night and astrophotography.

Wildlife opportunities are abundant. Each tour typically records 50 to 100 bird species including the vulnerable Regent Parrot, along with sightings of Red Kangaroos, Emus, Koalas and Lace Monitors in natural, undisturbed settings.

With a maximum of just 10 guests, photographers have space and time to compose thoughtfully.

Aside from exploring beyond the banks each day, your purpose-built eco-houseboat is moored in a different stretch each night allowing uninterrupted access to stunning locations for golden hour and blue hour.

Days combine relaxed river cruising, short guided walks, vehicle access to remote wetlands and optional kayaking, making it easy to travel with camera equipment while reaching otherwise inaccessible locations.
