Video: using a telephoto lens for landscapes

Comments Comments

We've run a few videos and stories on the reasons for packing a telephoto lens in your camera bag over the years, as we really think it's something that can give a totally different feel to your images. And if you've ever been curious what exactly that means, then check out this great video from the uber-talented landscape photographer Michael Shainblum where he packs a 100-400mm lens on a trip to Yosemite National Park in the states.

Shainblum is able to take some pretty stunning images - focussing on small, individual details in the frame to create more abstract images that present a different perspective on some of the more popular locations around the park for landscape shooters.
