The winner of Australian Photography + digital magazine's August 'Your Best Shot' photo competition is Chris Woods. The theme for August was 'Animals' and Woods entered two images of a Lemur snacking on a bunch of grapes.
Judge Robert Keeley praised Woods' entry for its humour and insight, "While both these images are great as stand-alone shots, combined in this way they tell a funny story. Photography is often about connecting with emotion, and by combining these shots you really hit the spot. They are nice and sharp, and there are no distractions, but what really makes them work is placing them together. A great idea – well done!"
Woods has won an Epson Stylus Photo R2000 valued at $1099 courtesy of Epson Australia. Runners up in the competition were Brett Ferguson and Priyaji Peiris.
The monthly Your Best Shot photo competition is open to subscribers of Australian Photography + digital magazine and members of the Australian Photographic Society (APS).
