Winning images from the Southern Flinders Ranges Travel Photo Contest
The winning images from the inaugural Southern Flinders Ranges International Travel Photo Contest have been announced.
The contest, run as part of the wider Southern Flinders Ranges Photo festival, seeks to celebrate photography that "depicts the landscape, people, cultures, customs and history that entrants experience from across the globe, either in their daily lives or through their travels."
More than 1,100 entries were received, with entrants competing for a prize pool in excess of $8,000.
Event organiser Ahsan Qureshi said entrants submitted quality, creative and good work.
The competition is part of the wider Southern Flinders Ranges Photography Festival, which features workshops and exhibitions throughout October. The top 50 images in the competition will be exhibited at the Port Pirie Regional Art Gallery from 28 September.
