Who won our March 'Beauty' photo competition?

Congratulations to Casey Flynn who has won our March ‘Beauty’ photo competition with his image 'Solitude', as judged by our guest judge photographer Ian MacPherson, Head of Photography at Wellcom Creative.

Solitude by Casey Flynn

Speaking about the shot, MacPherson said:

When I was deciding on the theme beauty I knew it could be interpreted many different ways and that was a really exciting prospect. We all know “beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Solitude by Casey Flynn is my choice for the winner of this months competition. This is nature at it’s most beautiful and Casey has done a brilliant job capturing that beauty and, for me, the added element of the house in the mid foreground adds that sense of scale which takes this image to the next new level."

Thanks to the amazing team at BenQ, Casey has won a BenQ SW240 monitor with an RRP of $699.

On Facebook, Flynn's image was also a clear winner in our people's choice vote, with more than 400 likes. This means he also takes home a 12-month subscription to the photo mag of his choice – Australian Photography or Capture.

You can see the full list of shortlisted images over on our Facebook page, and if you fancy entering our April comp, the theme is 'Seascape' and you can enter here.

Finally a huge thanks to the team at BenQ for their support of the monthly Australian Photography photo competition over the past five months - we really appreciate your support of Australian photographers.
