Wacom has launched a compact version of its Cintiq HD pen display, which it says is aimed creative professionals working in
areas such as design, art and image editing. The device features a 13-inch screen, and boasts Full HD resolution, a folding stand, and like all Cintiq displays, allows users to draw directly onto the screen's surface.
The Cintiq 13HD’s screen can display up to 16.7 million colours and the wide-format LED display offers a wide viewing
angle of 178°. A rear folding stand can be adjusted and locked at angles of 0° (flat), 22°, 35°, and 50° to accommodate different drawing styles – the stand can also be detached.
The screen is accompanied by a cordless and battery-free Pro Pen, which offers 2048 levels of pressure and
tilt sensitivity. To improve workflow and productivity,
frequently used shortcut commands can be accessed via four customisable and express keys and a rocker ring on the side of the device.
The Cintiq 13HD
comes with a case to store the Pro Pen and a selection of spare nibs. Wacom says the unit is easy to setup for both Mac and Windows platforms.
The
Cintiq 13HD joins three other current units in the Cintiq lineup – the 22HD,
24HD and 24HD touch – and is expected to retail for A$1149. It is available from www.buywacom.com.au
and other retailers.
